Terms of Service
Last updated September 12, 2026
Acceptance of these terms
By downloading, installing, or using Check 2 Check (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use the App. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle data — it's incorporated into these terms by reference.
What the App is
Check 2 Check is a bill-tracking tool. You manually enter your own bills, due dates, and amounts, and the App organizes them against your pay periods. The App does not link to bank accounts, does not initiate payments on your behalf, and does not connect to any financial institution. It is a record-keeping and organizational tool, not a payment or banking service.
Not financial advice
Check 2 Check is provided for informational and organizational purposes only. Nothing in the App constitutes financial, tax, legal, or professional advice. You're responsible for verifying due dates, amounts, and payment status directly with your actual billers and financial institutions — the App's records are only as accurate as what you enter.
Eligibility
You must be able to form a binding contract to use the App. If you're under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the App with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
Your account and sign-in
Some features (iCloud sync, App Lock, Google Drive backup, sharing) rely on Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. You're responsible for keeping your Apple ID and Google account secure — we have no way to reset or recover these on your behalf, since we don't operate our own account system.
Your content
You own the bill data, categories, tags, and any other information you enter into the App. We don't claim any ownership over it, and — since the App has no server of its own — we don't have a copy of it to claim ownership over in the first place. It's your responsibility to keep your own backups (iCloud sync and optional Google Drive backup are provided to help with this, but neither is a guarantee against data loss).
Sharing a bill with someone else
If you use the sharing feature, you're choosing to give another named person access to specific bill data through Apple's CloudKit sharing system. You're responsible for who you invite. Removing someone from a share or leaving a share you were invited to is available at any time from within the App.
Premium subscription
Check 2 Check offers a free tier and an optional paid Premium subscription that unlocks additional features. Premium is billed and managed entirely through Apple's In-App Purchase system:
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase
- Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period
- Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period
- You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device's Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions
- Refunds are handled entirely by Apple under Apple's own refund policies — we don't process payments or issue refunds directly
Acceptable use
Please don't use the App to store or transmit unlawful content, attempt to reverse-engineer or disrupt the App, or use it in any way that violates Apple's or Google's own terms of service for the platforms and sign-in services the App relies on.
"As is," no warranty
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't guarantee the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any calculation, reminder, or balance shown will be accurate — you're responsible for independently verifying anything that matters financially.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App, including missed payments, late fees, or any financial consequence of relying on the App's records instead of your own bank or biller directly.
Termination
You can stop using the App at any time by deleting it from your device. We may discontinue or modify the App at any time; if we do, we'll aim to give reasonable notice where practical.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continuing to use the App after a change means you accept the updated terms.
